10,000+ Bookings for MG Hector Tomahawk EV in Two Months

MG Motors launched the Hector Tomahawk in India on 26 August 2026 and simultaneously started accepting bookings for the car on same date. Hector Tomahawk is available in both EV and PHEV option. In just two months the EV version of Tomahawk has received over 10,000 bookings while booking numbers for PHEV version hasn’t been revealed yet. MG says they are seeing very strong demand for PHEV variant as well. However exact numbers are still under wraps and we may hear about it in coming days.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV gets a 69.2kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that puts out 204 HP and 310 Nm. On full charge the car gets a range of 517 km. Tomahawk PHEV variant on the other hand gets a smaller 20.5kWh battery pack and 1.5-litre petrol engine. In EV mode Tomahawk PHEV can cover 115 Km but with 1.5-litre petrol engine backing it can go in excess of 1100 Km.
MG only offers front-wheel drive on the Tomahawk EV and in both 5/7-seat configuration. Excite and Exclusive variants are offered with 7-seat configuration while Essence gets both. Price starts at ₹19.49 lakh for the Tomahawk EV and goes upto ₹25.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG offers huge 15.6-inch touchscreen and 8.8-inch driver display on the Tomahawk EV. The car gets host of features including Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless phone charging, gesture controls for AC and audio, 256 colour ambient lightning, 10-speaker Infiniti sound system and ventilated front seats. Customers get 5 colour options to choose from:
- Khaki Green
- Aurora Silver
- Starry Black
- Celadon Blue
- Pearl White
The car mainly go against the likes of Mahindra XEV 9S, Mahindra XEV 9E, Tata Sierra EV, Tata Harrier EV, Kia Carens Clavis EV, Mahindra BE6 as it comes in both 5-seater and 7-seater variants.
