Renault Duster Hybrid Launch Price ₹16.99L – ₹19.49L – 29 Km/L

Renault has launched the Duster Hybrid in India. The car gets three variants – Emotion, Techno and Evolution. Prices start at ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for Emotion variant and goes upto ₹19.49 lakh for top of the line Evolution trim. Mid trim named Techno is priced at ₹18.99 lakh which offers most value for money proposition.

Renault offers the Duster Hybrid with 1.8-litre petrol engine which is paired with two electric motors called E-Tech 160 system by Renault. As the car is hybrid it gets 1.4-kWh battery pack for increased fuel efficiency which stands at 29 Km/l. As compared to Toyota Hyryder & Maruti Grand Vitara mileage of 27.97 Km/L and 28.65 Km/L of Maruti Victoria the Duster Hybrid delivers slightly higher fuel efficiency. With two electric motors the Renault Duster Hybrid puts out 160 BHP and 208 Nm of peak torque. Transmission is automatic here with two electric and four petrol gears.

Renault says that 80% of city driving can be done on battery alone depending on conditions. The car can go from 0-100 Km/h in 9.61 seconds. With a 50-litres of fuel tank Renault claims that the car can cover 1,400 km in one go. The brand is offering Renault Protect 360 ownership package that comes with three years of comprehensive insurance, maintenance and assured resale value.

The car is not different from Duster Turbo in terms of both exterior and interior. The base evolution get flex wheels of 18-inch while top Emotion variant gets 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Ground clearance of the car stands at 212mm. E-tech Hybrid badges on the front and rear differentiate Duster Hybrid from Duster Turbo. Apart from that the car continues to be the same. It retains chunky body cladding all around and a 10.25-inch cluster with dual-screen layout. The base Evolution gets 10.1 incharge touchscreen. Other features on the car include ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control.

Bookings for the Renault Duster Hybrid are underway at ₹21,000 while deliveries are scheduled from November.
