Tesla Roadster 2.0 Global Launch on 15 October

  • On X.com Tesla has officially announced the global launch of Roadster 2.0 on October 15
  • Earlier the electric sports car was scheduled for launch on October 1 itself

After announcing the launch of much awaited Roadster on October 1, Tesla has announced to push the launch date of the car to October 15. The company in its official statement cited severe weather concerns in Texas for delaying the launch date of new redesigned Roadster. The official statement are as follows:

“Roadster event update – We’ve been tracking the weather closely with local meteorologists, but given the severe conditions predicted & because this event can only be held outdoors, we’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule.New date is October 15. Additional details to follow“.

As per the official launch intimation nothing much is revealed about the car except four lights. The image is upside down as well.

Way back in 2017 Tesla took off the wraps from the second generation Roadster. Elon Musk said that the car will hit the production line in 2020 which didn’t happen. Today we’re just few months away from entering 2027 and before that the official announcement by Tesla has been made. Took them long enough but expect some serious design and performance upgrades in the car.

After nearly 10 years the Tesla Roadster will hit the production line and specifications promised at that time was – 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, a top speed of 250 mph, massive 200-kWh battery pack providing a range of 620 miles / 1000 km and 4-seatings at a price range of $200,000 to $250,000.

Above specifications are from 2017 Tesla Semi Event and of course its highly likely to be changed on October 15. What’s under the wraps? Well we’ll only get to see on the mentioned date.

See you on October 15. THANK YOU!
