2027 BMW 3 Series Revealed as the Most Powerful M Variant Ever

  • The BMW M350 xDrive Variant gets turbocharged 3.0L in-line engine that makes 437 HP making it the most powerful M performance model ever
  • Drift mode straight from the factory and distinctive Neue Klasse look is on offer with the new 2027 BMW 3 Series

BMW has officially revealed the new 2027 BMW 3 Series after revealing the electric i3 earlier this year. The car will make its way in the US market in three variants – 330, 330 xDrive and M350 xDrive.

The 330 variant gets a turbocharged 2.0-Litre 4-cylinder engine that puts out 255 HP and 295-Pound feet of torque and is paired with 8-speed Steptronic transmission. In this particular variant either a rear wheel drive or all wheel drive is available.

The BMW M350 xDrive is top of the line variant which is equipped with 3.0L turbocharged in-line six engine putting out massive 437 HP and 428 pound-feet of torque. This powerful engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Sprinting from 0-60 MPH on M Performance model will take 3.9 seconds while on regular 330 and 330 xDrive will take 5.9 seconds. Top speed of all variants is electronically limited to 155 mph.

Exterior

For the new 3 Series BMW has a different design approach called – Neue Klasse design just like what we saw on i3. 19-inch wheels are standard on the car but customers will have a option to go for 20-inch rims. Flush door handles, BMW’s signature Yellow M lights and blue brakes, distinctive side profile and quad exhausts are some major exterior upgrades that we’ve seen on the car.

Interior

Interior of new 3 series gets BMW’s newest iDrive system, a 17.9-inch iDrive screen, Panoramic iDrive and Amazon Alexa assisted AI technology that we’ve seen on the new X5 and i7. BMW has offered heads up display as well and in M variant boost function is on offer. What’s interesting here that BMW offers Drift Mode straight from the factory but only in M variant of 3 Series which cuts the power from front wheel. The catch here is BMW plans to offer it via software update in 2027 and not at the time of launch. It’ll be the first M variant to get this feature.

Price

Price starts at $49,900 for 330, $51,000 for xDrive and $65,900 for top of the line M350 xDrive Variant. Bookings are underway and BMW plans to launch the 2027 3 Series in early 2027.
