Toyota has launched the Fortuner Leader Edition in India. This new edition is priced at ₹36.61 lakh for manual and ₹38.72 lakh (ex-showroom) for automatic variant. Notably similar move was made by Toyota last year on 8 October 2025 and 2024 as well. Last year too the Japanese brand launched the Fortuner Leader Edition with same cosmetic updates as of this year. However in January 2026 Toyota discontinued it. Ahead of commencement of festive season Toyota has again launched the Leader Edition with same cosmetic updates to cash on sales during festive season.

From 12 October 2026 customers can book the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition. Over other 4×2 wheel-drive variants the Leader Edition remains mechanically unchanged. So what’s new? Well new all black exteriors are now on offer and interior of the car now gets dual-tone black and maroon finish.

The Toyota Fortuner gets a 2.7-litre turbo-petrol engine putting out 166 HP and 245 Nm and a 2.8-litre diesel engine that makes 204 HP and 500Nm. The diesel engine also gets a 48V mild hybrid tech. Automatic transmission is only available in petrol while diesel gets manual as well. 4×4 is only available in diesel while petrol is 4×2 and can only have an automatic transmission while diesel engine gets both.
