Toyota North Carolina Plant (Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina
Spread over 1,850 acres Toyota operates its 7 million square feet battery manufacturing plant in Greensboro, North Carolina known as Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina. On June 2025 Toyota started shipping of batteries from its North Carolina plant. Created with an initial investment of $13.9 billion Toyota manufactures hybrid electric vehicles, battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles at this facility. After investing nearly $14 billion Toyota infused another $2.1 billion in this facility in 2023.


Toyota Kentucky Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky)
The world’s largest plant of Toyota is located in Kentucky. This plant rolls out 550,000 vehicles annually and also manufactures engines. Capable of producing 600,000 engines yearly this plant rolls out best known Toyota vehicles such as Toyota Camry (best selling sedan in USA) and Toyota RAV4 (best selling SUV of all time). These two are the best sellers of Toyota in USA.
In 1986 Toyota established this facility in Georgetown, Kentucky and on 26 May, 1988 first prototype model rolled out of the plant, it was Toyota Camry. This Toyota facility employs 10,000+ employees and is spread on 9 million square feet area.

Toyota Indiana Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana)
In 1998, Toyota established its another manufacturing plant in USA. It was Toyota Indiana Plant located in Princeton, Indiana. It is one of the most hi-tech plants that Toyota operates in USA as considerable amount of work here is automated. Fourth plant in the list is the Toyota Mississippi plant located in Blue Springs, Mississippi. This 2 million square feet plant has 2,400 employees. In 2011 Toyota started production in this facility after establishing it in 2007. The sole reason to establish this plant was to manufacture the Toyota Corolla – the best selling automobile nameplate of all time having a remarkable sales figure of 54 million Corolla as of 2026. This plant holds a capacity of manufacturing 100,000 vehicles per year.

Toyota Albama Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Albama)
Located in Huntsville, Albama, the Albama plant of Toyota is known for producing different models, engines and parts of following vehicles:

- Toyota Corolla Cross

- Toyota Tundra
- Toyota Tacoma
- Toyota Highlander
- Toyota Sequoia
- Toyota Sienna
An array of different Toyota vehicles are manufactured in this plant. After ground breaking ceremony in 2001 manufacturing began in 2003 with just over 2,000 employees. It is primarily an engine manufacturing plant and this plant accounts for 1/3rd of Toyota’s total engine production in USA as it manufactures on an average of 3,000 engines on daily basis which includes four-cylinder, V6 and twin-turbo.

Mazda-Toyota Plant in Albama (Mazda-Toyota Manufacturing)
In Albama Toyota operates not one but two plants. One is Toyota’s own and other one is joint venture between Toyota and Mazda. Mazda is also a Japanese automotive manufacturer which ceased its production in USA in 2012 after shutting down operations at Fiat Rock Assembly Plant. The joint venture with Toyota marked the return of Mazda in USA and in 2018 the project was announced with an initial investment of $1.6 billion which later increased to $2.8 billion. Mazda manufactures Mazda CX-50 and Toyota manufactures Toyota Corolla Cross in this facility which holds a capacity of producing 300,000 vehicles a year.

Toyota Tennessee Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee)
Located in Jackson, Tennessee, Toyota established this plant in 2020 primarily for manufacturing aluminium engine blocks, transmission cases and housings. Across North America this plant plays a crucial role in supplying foundational powertrain and drivetrain components. This plant has about 450 employees and it holds a capacity of supplying 2 million engine blocks and 1 million transmission cases per year. This 450,000 square feet plant is spread across 200 acres.

Toyota Missouri Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Missouri)
Primarily known for manufacturing cylinder heads (the lungs of engine), Toyota Missouri Plant produces over 2 million cylinder heads yearly. This plant has 1,000+ employees and is located in Troy, Missouri. With area of 550,000 square feet this plant is built on 80 acres of land. After breaking ground in 1991 Toyota started production in 1993.

Toyota West Virginia Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia)
The only combined engine and transmission plant in North America is the Toyota West Virginia Plant. This 2 million square foot plant has a workforce of 2,000 employees and Toyota has invested close to $2 billion in it. 2.4 Turbo, TNGA 2.5 L engines, and transmission are produced in this facility built on 267 acres of land in Buffalo, West Virginia. After breaking ground in 1996, two years later in 1998 production kicked in.


Toyota Texas Plant (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas)
In San Antonio, Texas Toyota operates its 2.2 million square foot plant with workforce of 3,700 employees. In every 60 seconds one Toyota rolls out from this facility. Two major products of Toyota – Tundra and Sequoia are assembled here. In 2025 Toyota produced 197,506 vehicles in this plant only and Toyota Texas Experience Center grand reopening took place in the same year as well. Spread across massive 2,000 acres This plant started production in 2006 following ground breaking ceremony in 2003.

Toyota California Plant (TABC, inc. – Toyota Auto Body California)
Out of all 11 plants of Toyota in USA the first one is the Toyota California Plant (TABC inc). The production from this plant dates way back to 1972 in Long Beach, California. Known primarily for supplying parts of Tacoma range of trucks and old Toyota models this plant has an area of 570,000 sq feet and is built on 28 acres of land employing 350 employees that supply stamped parts, catalytic converter, steering columns, weld sub-assemblies, aluminum and sheet metal components.
