New Maruti Baleno Facelift Sales Cross 25,000 in First Month

India’s top selling premium hatchback Baleno got a facelift update in September 2026. A lot of updates were seen on the car including new front looks and major changes in the engine department.
The earlier 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine got replaced by 1.2-litre 3-cylinder one putting out 82 BHP/114 Nm. It comes with a manual and AMT gearbox options. For the first time CNG was made available in Baleno with manual as well as AMT gearbox.
25,000 sales of Baleno – 95,000 Bookings For Brezza – 1.8 lakh pending delivery
In its first month of launch the new Baleno facelift has already achieved 25000 sales mark. Most of the sales come from mid and higher variants. First month 25000 sales of Baleno facelift suggests strong demand for the premium hatchback which continued to be the best selling model in its segment. Maruti now plans to ramp up the production of Baleno as well as Brezza which has received 95,000 bookings. As of Sep-26 Maruti has a backlog of 1.8 lakh models in which 95,000 are of Brezza alone.
Toyota Glanza will also get the same updates as of the new Baleno, the launch will take place in few months. Expect the Glanza to retain same engine and new front looks from the Baleno. The new Baleno facelift primarily rivals Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20.
